Chudovyi Dancers Display Ukraine Culture

The Ukrainian culture was celebrated at the annual Santa Tea performance by the Chudovyi Ukrainian Dancers of Innisfree on December 8 at the Innisfree Rec Centre. Twenty four dancers in five groups danced their way through each of the nine performances with grace in the colourful costumes representing the various regions of the Ukraine country.

The performance got underway with the Canadian national anthem before the first dance performance of the day, a Hutzul duet dance by Senior dancer Madison Isley and Intermediate dancer Camille Kassian. The littlest dancers of the group, the Beginners, then took their turn on stage by performing a Central Ukraine region dance titled First Steps as senior dancer Madison Isley assisted them on stage…
