Bonnyville RCMP investigate hit and run

Police are asking for the public’s help regarding a hit and run on Muriel Lake Quad Trail.

A man was driving a dirt bike on the trail around 5 p.m. on September 6, when he was hit by a side by side UTV. The man was taken to the Bonnyville Hospital and was treated for a broken leg.

The side by side is an older model four seat Polaris side by side UTV, grey coloured with a dent in the right front side. The grill colour is black and at the time of the incident the UTV had three people on it.

A young girl was driving, with a young girl and young boy on as passengers.

Police say none of them were wearing helmets but the driver had a black sweater with some red on it. The young boy had blond hair, while both girls had long hair.

RCMP ask anyone with information about this incident or the were abouts of the UTV to call the Bonnyville RCMP at 780-343-7200.

If anyone provides information to Crime Stoppers that results in an arrest, you may be eligible for a cash reward.
