Church destroyed by fire deemed ‘suspicious’ in the Two Hills area

Two Hills RCMP are investigating multiple fires during the overnight hours of July 24.

Police responded to a house fire, south of Two Hills just before midnight. While emergency and fire services were on scene, a second fire was reported roughly 3km away at a church. The church was destroyed, but no injuries at either site were reported.

A fire investigator has deemed both fires as suspicious. Two vehicles were spotted in the area during the time of the fires and RCMP are seeking details as to who the owners are.

Vehicle 1 is a White ford F250/350 single cab, with a headache rack, cab and fog lights, with a red tidy tank.

Vehicle 2  is a Ford 250/350 four-door, canopy (truck cap), possibly a roof rack.

As the investigation continues, police are asking anyone that may have been in the area of Range Road 133 and Warwick Road between 11 p.m., July 24 and 2 a.m., July 25 to contact them if they saw anything suspicious or have additional information on the vehicles listed.
