Extreme cold warning returns
Winter isn’t done with Alberta just yet, that nasty windchill of -40C is back.
Environment Canada issued an extreme cold warning for much of Alberta on Monday, February 18.
This extreme cold will last throughout the morning and afternoon. This weather is expected to vary throughout the week.
Edmonton and area will see a high of -13C on Monday, -3C on Tuesday and -8C is expected for Wednesday.
The Vegreville area will see a high of -18C with the same highs as the capital region on Tuesday and Wednesday.
With this cold weather comes frost bite, which can develop within minutes on exposed skin.
Also watch for cold related symptoms which include shortness of breath, chest pain, muscle pain and weakness, numbness/colour change in your fingers/toes.
