Police responded to a break and enter in progress at a rural location at 11:03 p.m. on May 13. Kitscoty and Vermilion RCMP officers arrived at a farmyard and found a truck with a stolen license plate. Four suspects were located inside and arrested without incident.

An investigation revealed the suspects had broken into the fenced farm yard, as police seized various break-in tools from inside the truck.

Megan Atwood, 35, no fixed address, Shane Comerford, 40, no fixed address, Paige Tkachuk, 24, of Vermilion and Kenneth Thomas, 39, of Vermilion were jointly charged with break and enter with intent, possession of break-in instruments and possession of property obtained by crime under $5000.

Thomas was also charged with failing to comply with a probation order, while Tkachuk was also charged with failing to comply with a release order (x3).

The four are scheduled to appear in Vermilion Provincial Court on August 17.
