Environment Canada issues heat warning for Edmonton & surrounding areas

Environment Canada has issued a heat warning for Edmonton and surrounding areas, including Fort Sask. Temperatures are expected to hit 29 C, with a low of 14 C at night.
 
The alert from EC says temperatures will cool down by the weekend.
 
People in the areas under the heat warning are advised to take precautions, which include:
Perhaps rescheduling any outdoor activities to cooler times of the day, take breaks from the heat often and spend time in cooled indoor spaces where possible, drink plenty of water and check for your children or pets before exiting a vehicle, do not leave anyone in a closed vehicle for any length of time.
 
Heat stroke or heat exhaustion symptoms include, high body temperature, lack of sweat, confusion, fainting and unconsciousness.
