Men arrested in Three Hills in connection with armed robberies

RCMP have arrested two men in Three Hills in relation to two different armed robberies in Alberta.

The Morrin Hotel Bar was robbed by two masked and armed suspects on February 13. They fled in a stolen vehicle, which was abandoned and set on fire. One suspect was identified and an arrest warrent was issued at the time.

Then on Febuary 18 a hotel in Halkirk was robbed by a disguised suspect who had what was believed to be a shotgun. He fled the scene in a stolen van, which was found later in Big Valley and a stolen shotgun was found inside the van.

A joint investigation was conducted by Drumheller, Hanna, Three Hills, Beisker, Bashaw, Coronation and Stettler RCMP Detachments, with the Red Deer PDS assisting.

On February 19 the RCMP arrested Chase Aaron Anderson, 35 and he is facing 15 charges related to possession of stolen property in Stettler and the Drumheller Robbery.

Robert Kristopher Paul Foster, 39, of Big Valley is facing 19 charges in relation to possession of stolen property in Stettler, and both robberies in Drumheller and Halkirk.

Both men were arrested in Three Hills. Both men have court dates on March 12 in Stettler and March 20 in Drumheller. Foster also has a court date in Coronation on March 18.
