Semi truck driver left with minor injuries after roll over

Smoky Lake RCMP responded to a single vehicle roll over on Sunday, March 22.

Around 5 a.m. RCMP and emergency services responded to an incident that involved a semi tractor hauling crude oil on Hwy 831. The Semi truck rolled into the ditch between Hwy 28 and Township Road 594, while travelling southbound.

The driver of the vehicle had minor injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment.

RCMP stated in a release, that no leaks were caused by the collision and conditions at the time were not a factor in the incident.

Traffic was slowed to alternate lanes while the truck and contents were removed.
