You might want to grab a shovel.
Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for Friday, March 8 saying the general snowfall amount would be 10 – 15 cm, with some areas getting hit with 20 – 25 cm of heavy snow by late afternoon.
The snow has been falling at a rate of 2-5 cm/h. Southern Alberta has already had 20 cm of snowfall.
The heavy snow should end by late afternoon with light snow continuing overnight for the capital region.

If traveling the road conditions are not the best this morning. Roads in Fort Saskatchewan and Sherwood Park are either covered or partly covered with snow.
Roads lined in pink are completely covered, yellow means partly covered in snow and ice.
