St. Paul man facing multiple drug related charges

St. Paul RCMP arrested a Saddle Lake man on February 26 and he is facing multiple drug related charges.

The police had a search warrant for a residence within the townsite of Saddle Lake. RCMP found more than 50 grams of what is believed to be cocaine and more than 10 grams of crack cocaine along with several pills that are believed to be oxycodone.

Police also found and seized $1600, pair of brass knuckles and a collapsible baton.
“Cracking down on drug dealers is a priority for the community of Saddle Lake.  Working with partners in our communities to help tackle these priorities and to ensure public safety is the RCMP’s main objective,”  said Sgt. David Graham of the St. Paul RCMP.

Marcus Cardinal, 21, of Saddle Lake was arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a controlled substance (X2), possession of a prohibited weapon (X2) and possession of property obtained by crime.

Cardinal is scheduled to appear in St. Paul Provincial Court on March 19.
