Three possible names proposed for new Wye School

Elk Island Public Schools (EIPS) would like the community’s input on renaming the Wye Elementary replacement school. They have narrowed it down to three names after collecting suggestions from the public.

The possible names are:

• Heritage Hills (School or Elementary)
• Heritage Hills Park (School or Elementary)
• Heritage Point (School or Elementary)

The survey closes February 15. Administration will review responses and recommend a final name to the board. It is expected a name will be approved at their meeting in March.

The replacement school, which is being built in the Heritage Hills area, is schedule to open in 2020.
