The Town of Vegreville is asking residents to have their say when it comes to the areas recreational needs.

As the town plans for the next 15 – 30 years,  they will gather public input, and conduct a Regional Recreation Feasibility Study.

“Council remains committed to the growth and development of the Vegreville area. It is vital that we meet the recreational needs of our local and regional residents while planning for future growth. We understand that high-quality recreation facilities are key to attracting new residents and businesses, and this will be a central focus as we develop our strategic plan.” Said Town of Vegreville Mayor, Tim MacPhee.

There are three ways to participate:

Public Open House Sessions:

September 5th: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Vegreville Social Centre.

September 6th: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. OR 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. at the Vegreville Multiplex/Curling Rink.

The town said all feedback collected will help develop a strategic plan. Once that plan is finalized, it will be presented to Council, they will review it and determine what the next steps will be.
